Call for Trainers launched

The first Call for Trainers for Understanding Europe Spain is now open! We are looking for young people aged between 18 and 25 years old, preferably youngsters who live in Madrid or Barcelona, and want to impart a basic understanding of European politics through an interactive EU Crash Course to young pupils. Our four-hour courses encourage pupils to become active citizens and provide a space to talk about their European questions. The EU Crash Course is meant for pupils from 4th ESO in Madrid, Barcelona and Mallorca.

Project Kick-off Meeting with the Schwarzkopf Foundation

The Schwarzkopf Foundation and Understanding Europe Spain representatives met for a kick-off meeting in Madrid. Aritz Labrador (project coordinator), Iggy Argüelles (President of EYP Spain) and Laura Pérez-Galdós (International Relations of EYP Spain), along with Kerstin Eckart from the International Office, introduced the project and discussed about the general guidelines.

Understanding Europe starts today!

The Project of the Schwarzkopf Foundation Understanding Europe is starting its path in Spain today! The newly elected Project Coordinator and the Board of EYP Spain, in conjunction with Kerstin Eckart, Project Manager from the International Office of the EYP and the Schwarzkopf Foundation, would like to express its gratitude to the TUI Foundation for providing the project with funds to carry out 4-hour-long EU Crash Courses within the Spanish geography.

The project will start its activities with the next school year 2016-2017 for schools, but the preparations, call and trainings for the Seminar Trainers will follow up soon.
